La Corte di Navarrete is a large, light-filled apartment in the whitewashed heart of the old town, directly opposite Palazzo Marchesale — the cultural centre of Laterza, home to the Majolica Museum, the tourist information office and the community library.
Sixty-five square metres, beautifully furnished, sleeping five, with a fully fitted kitchen and everything you need to feel at home. From the window you look onto the facade of the palazzo, and watch the quiet comings and goings of the square. The alleys of the old town start at the door — the potters' workshops, and the smell of bread coming out of the ovens.
You can leave the car where it is: the canyon, the rock-hewn churches and the viewpoints over it are all within walking distance.
